The truth about self-transformation

In recent years we have begun to talk more and more about self-transformation. The change is happening, and we can not ignore it anymore. We are much more than our fears, limitations, and beliefs.

Out there is a world that can’t wait for us to shine, help each other, love each other, and create heaven on earth. It is in our nature. These tasks are our real job on this planet. Overcome ourselves and be part of something higher than us.

WHAT IS SELF TRANSFORMATION

Briefly is a lifetime process of working with yourself which implies some key steps:

  • the will to work with yourself
  • discovering/remembering and healing past traumas
  • self-acceptance of both the things you like and dislike at yourself
  • transcending all of the above

WHY CHANGE

Self-transformation is a process through which we all pass. Change is a part of life, and it happens even if we want it or not. Our bodies are changing, our mind is evolving, and our soul is expanding.

I think it is crucial to own our transformation and master it. That means stepping into our power and not allowing change to be something that anyone can inflict upon us. Always be flexible enough to admit when you are wrong. And willing to change the perspective if your point of view brings harm in any way to any living being, even rocks.

The only constant in life is changeHeraclitus

EXPECTATIONS

When we think about change, we imagine what we want, how we want it to happen, and when it will be better for us. We have a precise set of rules that nature has to follow. If the rules are not fulfilled, we will focus our attention on the things that didn’t happen, and reject the change we asked for in the first place.

In the last two years, I learned this lesson the hard way.

I think we have to clarify this aspect. In general, Life has its way of bringing change in our lives. We may feel that we are in control, but in reality, because we are connected with all that is around us, we have to obey a higher order. One that has to balance all the elements involved. A change in your life will affect everyone you interact with humans, animals, plants, rocks.

THE REALITY

The reality is that when it starts, the change is HARD and believe me that I thought a lot about whether or not to use this word. It’s scary. Self-transformation is a necessary process that can dissect you in every imaginable way.

It cuts sharp inside of you, and nothing escapes it, no thought, no deed, no word. You see yourself through the lens of a microscope, with all the bad and the good.

SO WHY BOTHER

Because you will experience moments and feelings you have never had before in your whole life and that you have craved for all your life. Because besides the pain and the struggle, you will discover an unshakable place inside of you. One that, regardless of the situation, it will give you a glimpse of peace inside. Just enough to navigate the case with your head high.

But this is not all. After the waters calm down, because they always do, all of this will grow bigger and stronger. You will own your downs, and you will learn from them. You will come to be genuinely grateful for experiencing all of this. At one point, you will silently notice a feeling of strong confidence inside of you. A kind of trust that can’t be shaken easily.

And that my lovely and dear friend is a place I wish for you to discover.

Self-transformation has this kind of beauty. It is like a spiral. Once it starts, it influences all around it in ways you cannot imagine. Your life will blossom right in front of your eyes.

WHERE TO START

Self-transformation is not coming from a single action you do. It is a blending of several elements, mainly from three areas soul, body, and mind. The work has to be in all these fields because they are part of the whole, a part of you.

Mind – start being an observer

Just look at you, how you react to different things, what words are you using and then ask yourself: This reaction is mine? Where did I saw it in the first place? The words I am using are mine? Or is it a phrase I heard from my parents?

If you don’t find yourself in any of these questions, there is your starting point. Discover your point of view, learn how to express it, integrate it, and own it.

How to Get Your Life Back into Balance. Every Time!

Body – learn his language

Our bodies are speaking with us all the time. If you didn’t have the privilege to have someone in your life teaching you how to listen to your body, you have to educate yourself.

I challenge you to do this exercise for one day. Every time you put something in your mouth, ask this question – Dear body, this bite is bringing you joy or heaviness?

After this, any decision you will take to eat it or not will be transformational. You will be the winner in any of the scenarios described below.

In the first scenario, the bite is healthy. You know it, the decision is easy.
But second, the bite is not healthy, and you know it. In this case, two options arise:

  • If you decide not to eat it, you will feel empowered and proud of yourself for having the power to walk your talk
  • If you decide to eat it, after that, you will most likely judge yourself. But, when you make a conscious decision like this, even if you repeated it several times, at one point, you will stop doing it. You will get bored of the same discussion, or have a powerful impulse of trying a different approach. Maybe you will even experience the beautiful moment of an actual change in your life. Either way, you are on the path of self-transformation.

Soultake the time to meet yourself

Parker J. Palmer has one of the most explicit and beautiful descriptions of how to approach your soul.

The soul is like a wild animal—tough, resilient, savvy, self-sufficient and yet exceedingly shy. If we want to see a wild animal, the last thing we should do is to go crashing through the woods. Shouting for the creature to come out. But if we are willing to walk quietly into the woods and sit silently for an hour or two at the base of a tree. The creature we are waiting for may well emerge, and out of the corner of an eye we will catch a glimpse of the precious wildness we seek.

A Hidden Wholeness: The Journey Toward an Undivided Life

Design your inner and outer space accordingly. Prepare yourself properly if you want to meet the most beautiful creature you will ever meet, yourself. In case you need some inspiration, here you have nine ideas on how to prepare.

In the end, you need self-transformation in your life. You want this transformation in your life. It’s inevitable, therefore why delay it?

To summarise, change is a process of life that needs your full attention and dedication. It is a powerful way to discover whatever you are looking for in your life.

I am also changing as we speak, and I hope we can walk this journey together, so please share with us your thoughts. My intention is to create a community where we can all help and support each other.

I want to close down with one practical observation. All this information will serve you up until one point when you will transcend it, and you will discover new perspectives. We will talk more about this in future posts.

Remember to love yourself,
